Implementation of the Cooperative Society for Saving and Lending, in partnership with the Palestinian Food Industries Federation
The Cooperative Society for Saving and Lending for Projects that Generate Income for Women, in partnership with the Palestinian Food Industries Federation, implemented a training program within the (Empowerment Program for Women in the Field of Manufacturing and Packaging and Packaging of Food Products – Phase Two) funded by the Silatech Qatar Foundation, with women cooperative societies by providing specialized training programs in Technical issues related to food processing, and the project included building the capacity of a team of young women belonging to the age group from 18 to 35 years for a group of associations from the management team and supervisors of production in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to ensure business continuity and sustainability, and to apply standards and training bases. And that by increasing their skills and productive capacity, by training them in topics related to correct manufacturing methods, food quality and safety, and production management, in addition to developing marketing and packaging skills, providing them with the necessary experience about food safety and international and Palestinian quality systems and certificates, and helping them obtain them, to become Able to produce high-quality products that are able to compete in the local and international markets through the job opportunities that will be available to them in the women’s associations that will be targeted by the program. The factories have the ability to link with women’s associations, but by subjecting to the precise conditions and specifications that guarantee proper production.
