The Cooperative Society for Savings and Lending, in partnership with the Rawa Fund for Creative Palestinian Community Initiatives, implemented an initiative entitled (Women Make the Difference) for beekeeping, through which it implemented a series of trainings (life, technical and administrative skills for beekeeping).
Which was implemented at the association's headquarters in the northern Gaza Strip / Beit Hanoun.
Where 20 women who own similar projects participated in the training. The first of them wanted to work in beekeeping projects and spread the idea of the initiative and its reflection on marginalized women in different regions.
A study on "value chain analysis of the bee sector in the Gaza Strip" was presented in the presence of a group of institutions and project owners. Value chain analysis, the economic importance of beekeeping, challenges and limitations in the value chain were discussed.
A dissolved project was provided to 4 participating women, and it meets the needs of their families and in turn improves the economic situation of women, which is reflected in their social status, reduces the severity of violence that these women face as a result of economic conditions, and enhances the spirit of entrepreneurship among women, as well as providing the local community with a good, therapeutic and medicinal product.
